Bainland trades as Bainland Lodge Retreats and is a self-catering lodge park on 45 acres of woodland and lakes just outside Woodhall Spa. Almost every stay comes with a private hot tub: log cabins and lakeside lodges sleeping two to twenty, shepherd huts, a treehouse and big English villas with their own swimming pools. It is a lodge park rather than a pitch-up site, and there are no touring or tent pitches.

The nearest thing to camping is the glamping field, with canvas safari tents for six or eight on decks, each with a hot tub, log burner and fire pit. Shared facilities include an indoor heated pool with sauna and steam room, a gym, spa treatments, the Nest bar and restaurant, a shop, tennis courts, adventure playground and bikes to borrow. Dogs are welcome in designated lodges and tents.
